A voice shaped
in tradition

Rolando Guy is a lyric tenor with roots in Argentine and Italian musical traditions. His training began in Buenos Aires, at the National Conservatory and with singers and teachers connected to the Teatro Colón. He has lived and worked in Berlin since 2019.

In Europe, he sang Zweiter Fremder in Eduard Künneke’s Der Vetter aus Dingsda at Kammeroper Frankfurt in 2025, under the musical direction of Stanislav Rosenberg. In 2023, he appeared as Tamino in Die kleine Zauberflöte with Opernwerkstatt am Rhein. As a soloist, he has performed with the Diplomatic Choir of Berlin at the Berliner Dom, the Federal Foreign Office and Notre-Dame in Strasbourg; with the ensemble Die Goldvögel, he has appeared in Berlin and Copenhagen. In 2026, he debuted the role of Symon in Carl Millöcker’s Der Bettelstudent at the Lübecker Sommeroperette, a performance noted positively by HL-live.

In Buenos Aires, he performed the roles of Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Rodolfo (La Bohème), Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore), Borsa (Rigoletto) and Gastone (La traviata) in independent productions. With pianist Marcelo Ayub, he also gave recital programmes featuring works by Schubert, Strauss, Rachmaninoff and Liszt.

His vocal training began in Buenos Aires with singers and teachers connected to the Teatro Colón, including Luis Bragato, Ricardo Ortale, Garbis Adiamanian and Víctor Torres. In 2017, he took part in the Javier Camarena Masterclass in Buenos Aires. In Berlin, he studied with Reiner Goldberg and Uwe Griem, and currently continues his artistic work with Stephan von Cron Catalano.
